Student visualization poster wins an Outstanding Student Paper Award at the Fall 2006 AGU meeting

IGPP graduate students Allison Jacobs, Jeff Dingler, and Danny Brothers co-authored the poster entitled, "Visual Integration of Multi-disciplinary Datasets for the Geophysical Analysis of Tectonic Processes." It highlighted the 3-D visualizations each student has created for their respective study areas and how the visualizations have helped to better understand the areas. The poster was presented in the Earth and Space Science Informatics Focus Group and now can be found at http://ridgeview.ucsd.edu under the News heading. A big thank you is also on order for Tom Im, Dane Samilo, Anand Patel, and the rest of the Viz Center staff who helped bring Allison, Jeff, and Danny's ideas to fruition.
