| Topography of Mars |
Studying other planets in our solar system helps researchers decipher our own planet's evolution. Our neighbouring planets of Venus and Mars both preserve evidence of plate tectonics, the theory that
has revolutionized the geological world since the 1960's. Recent satellite surveys of both these planets has allowed highly detailed visualizations, that can be virtually explored.
A better understanding of other planets helps us understand many of the complex processes that our home planet experiences.
