LRI prepares case study of IGPP's RIO ROSO project

Liquid Robotics, Inc. (LRI) developer of the Wave Glider and a company, which partnered with IGPP on the successful proof-of-concept Autonomously Deployed Deep-ocean Seismic System - Communications Gateway for Ocean Observatories (ADDOSS) project, has prepared a case study report on ADDOSS’s successor, the proposed (pending NSF funding)  Robotically Installed and Online Remote Ocean Seafloor Observatory (RIO ROSO) program: http://goo.gl/0Ai7Bo. If funded, RIO ROSO, will exploit the lessons learned in deploying ADDOSS to scale its reach by broadening ocean seismic observing by deploying Liquid Robotics wave gliders globally to relay remote, deep ocean seismic data in near-real time.
